Employee Development Services

The Employee Development Services Program, formally known as work adjustment training, is an individualized process that assists persons seeking employment. This assistance can be provided directly to the person seeking employment or indirectly through the employer/employee support program. Development of skills, attitudes, personal characteristics, work behaviors, and functional capabilities are then utilized on job sites, organized training, in educational settings, supported education, and counseling.

Organizational Employment Services

The Organizational Employment Services Program provides paid work for program participants using piece rates developed according to Federal Wage and Hour Standards, and students are paid based on productivity levels. Typical jobs include bulk mailing, button making, collating, custodial, lawn care, small parts assembly and packaging.

Personal, Social, and Community Support Services

The Personal, Social, and Community Support Services Program assists people with disabilities to make informed choices and decisions to maximize their inclusion into their community. A goal of personal, social, and community support is increased self-esteem, interdependence, greater self-sufficiency, and control of their lives for these individuals. Some activities to accomplish these goals are community participation, entertainment, strategies for enhanced communication, field trips, health seminars, and vocational, work attitude, and skill exploration.
