The Cedar Valley Contractors Safety Council is sponsoring OSHA-related safety courses for all contractors that plan on performing work in the following Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Muscatine or
Davenport, Iowa, facilities:

The courses being sponsored for each of the participating plants include:

  • 4-hour OSHA Basic Safety Awareness course
  • Site-specific orientations

Before performing work in any of the participating facilities, a contract employee may be required to successfully complete the OSHA Basic Safety Awareness course and the site-specific course for the facility in which they will be working. Upon satisfactory completion, the contract employee will be issued an approved photo ID badge (valid for one year unless otherwise noted) that must be presented anytime he or she enters a participating facility's gate. Requirements will vary by plant. Please refer to the company requirements for clarification.
