If you or your department hosts events on main campus, there are new intra-campus signs available to direct your guests to the proper location.

The old sandwich boards have been retired. In their place are ten permanent signs. Every roadway entrance to campus and key intersections within main campus have the new displays. The new event boards are Kirkwood blue with white trim and match the building menus signs that are already in place.

Events will be placed into one of four categories:

1. Today's Event
2. Tonight's Event
3. Fine Arts Event - Ballantyne Aud.
4. TGIF - Iowa Hall

Along with the appropriate sign, a directional arrow will be posted to show motorists the correct route to the event facility.

If you are hosting an event and would like to utilize the new directional signs, call Facilities at extension 5561. Please provide a minimum of five working days prior to your event.

The Facilities staff will be responsible for placing the proper sign and directional arrows along with removing them upon event completion. Signs not posted by Facilities will be removed immediately.

Now until the end of June will be a trial period for the new signs and system to order them. Our hope is that this is an easy, efficient and cost effective way to assist guests while visiting Kirkwood.
