SHARED VISION

 

The auxiliary food service operation of the College provides snacks, drinks, meals and catering services to students, faculty, staff and community members.

 

We value quality food at an affordable price, a clean, sanitary and fun environment, and excellent customer service.

 

MAJOR INITIATIVES

 

With the new facility for the student Culinary program, we have been able to move our department into the space they previously used.  The shortage of space in our area had reached a critical point and we found we were not able to comfortably accommodate the thousands of faculty and staff attempting to utilize our services.  The new space provides for

            An improved ventilation system in the kitchen area

            A more efficient, more sanitary system for waste disposal

            A ‘food court’ atmosphere with specialized stations

            More cash register stations

            Cook to order capability

           

Improved catering services

 

Provide healthier food choices

Expanded operations at the Iowa City Campus
