BUSINESS SERVICES – FIVE YEAR VISION

SHARED VISION

The Business Services department is charged with providing sound fiscal management for the College to ensure that student tuition and community tax dollars are spent in a prudent and efficient manner.

We value accuracy, meeting deadlines reliably and consistently, and providing good customer service. 

We have very distinct functions within the College.  They include:

•             Collecting and receipting of revenue
•             Processing and disbursing payments
•             Accounting and reporting

MAJOR INITIATIVES

Conversion to Datatel’s Colleague software.

This activity affects every single thing we do.  All accounts and all employees of this department will encounter change that will enhance what we do in the following ways:

•             Procedures streamlined
•             Information more readily accessible
•             Availability of new tuition payment choices
•             Time for more individual contact with customers
•             Improved response time for problem solving with new tools
•             Less paper usage
•             Improved imaging/scanning system   

Leadership development that will create a supervisor for each of the three functional areas.

Cross-training of staff within each of the three functional areas.

Movement of the Payroll function to Human Resources.
