The Kirkwood student email system is the primary tool for official communication from the college. Important information from your department, as well as notifications from advising, enrollment and financial aid, will not be sent via postal mail, but will be sent to your student e-mail.

The format of your Kirkwood student email address is: firstname-lastname@student.kirkwood.edu (Example: joe-smith@student.kirkwood.edu) If your first and last name are being used already, a number will be added to your email address to make it unique. To verify your email address, click the Options button in the upper right hand corner of your email.
