Using Student Email
The Kirkwood student email system is the primary tool for official communication from the college. Important information from your department, as well as notifications from advising, enrollment and financial aid, will not be sent via postal mail, but will be sent to your student email. The format of your Kirkwood student email address is: email@example.com (Example: firstname.lastname@example.org) If your first and last name are being used already, a number will be added to your email address to make it unique.
Going forward, the Kirkwood Application Portal (SSO) is the recommended way to login to your student email. Once you login to the Kirkwood Application Portal, use the student email link to automatically log you in to your email account. You can also automatically login to Talon and Eaglenet using the Kirkwood Application Portal (Single Sign On).
Login to the Kirkwood Application Portal (SSO) with your k number and password and click on student email.
First Time Users
If you are accessing your student email for the first time you will be prompted to set up your email account and choose a recovery option. For more information on how to set up your email account and recovery option, click here.
