At Kirkwood:

• Credit students range in age from 14 to 79.
• 54 percent of students are women.
• 577 international students represent 94 different countries.
• Students come from 34 states and 96 of 99 Iowa counties.
• 4,500 students enrolled in adult literacy, English language acquisition, GED preparation, adult high school and other programs.
• Continuing Education courses cover topics including workforce skills, training for a new career or leisure activities.
• Partners create a multi-faceted network to fulfill workforce and community needs, such as our ongoing partnership with the Heritage Agency on Aging, which facilitates programs for Iowa’s elderly.
• More than 100 international members of Community Colleges for International Development (CCID), a consortium of colleges sharing the goal of internationalizing their institutions, meet annually.
