Submission Guidelines
  1. All submission entries are open to Kirkwood College's students, faculty, staff, Alumni and friends.
  1. Multiple submissions in any category are welcome.
  1. All word lengths and story formats and content subjects are acceptable for submission. There are no limitations on length, content, or language, but please be aware that the Cedar Valley Divide is a short publication and lengthier submissions will not make the cut. Additionally, gratuitous bad language or inappropriate content may be subject to rejection.
  1. All artwork mediums are open for submissions but the Cedar Valley Divide will not accept original artworks. Writing and art submissions will not be returned. Photographs of three dimensional art is preferred instead.
  1. All artwork submitted via email, mail, or in person must be on a 3.5 floppy disk or CD in GIF or JPG format.
  1. We at the Cedar Valley Divide reserve the right to not publish any material submitted to us for any reason. The CVD staff will be the sole participants in all final decisions on accepted or rejected submitted works by their own criteria.
  1. By submitting your work to the Cedar Valley Divide, you agree to allow us the publication rights in whole or in part for one issue. You are free to publish your work elsewhere and retain all other rights to your work.  By submitting your work to the CVD, you agree that you understand and will cooperate with Kirkwood Community College's policy on plagiarism.  Plagiarized materials will be automatically withdrawn for consideration.
