The clever, beautiful and original talent that exists in our academic community is showcased annually in Kirkwood’s only student-run literary magazine, The Cedar Valley Divide.

By writing for and editing this magazine, you’ll gain practical experience in reading and editing literary manuscripts, as well as in-depth information about publishing and printing processes.

The Cedar Valley Divide accepts short fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, digital art, photographs, or any other artwork you can take a photograph of from students, staff and community members.

Not only will family and friends be proud if your work is selected, your resume will benefit from publication credit as well.
