BIO-430 Molecular Genetics (3.00)

Introduces the fundamental concepts of genetics. Focuses primarily on the modern discoveries of molecular biology and their applications in today's world; however, basic principles of classical (Mendelian) genetics are also discussed. Topics include DNA structure and analysis, DNA replication, transcription, translation, cell cycle regulation with regard to cancer, recombinant DNA technology, genomics, and proteomics.
