Examines sales department activities related to group and transient business. Includes developing leads, building relationships, closing the sale, servicing groups and account follow-up/maintenance. Discusses group meeting trends and practices. Explores the discipline of revenue management to determine the applicability of revenue maximization strategies and their operational aspects. Students will be given the opportunity to experience a professional sales and catering department first-hand by working with The Hotel Sales & Catering staff.
